WHY I CREATED THIS GUIDE 💪

I fell in love with Excel when I took a 3-year course called Systems Management.

The funny thing is, Excel wasn't even the main subject.

It was just a small part of the course.

But for some reason it completely grabbed my attention.

As I moved into the job market, I noticed something.

Excel kept showing up.

Job interviews.

Assessment tests.

Recruitment exercises.

Employers seemed to love it.

So naturally I thought the answer was simple:

Learn more formulas.

SUM.

IF.

COUNTIF.

VLOOKUP.

XLOOKUP.

Job done.

At least that's what I thought.

Then I started looking at actual interview questions.

That's when I noticed something strange.

Many people already knew the formulas.

Yet they still got stuck.

Not because they didn't know Excel.

But because they couldn't tell what the question was asking them to do.

Someone could know SUMIF perfectly and still stare at a question wondering:

"What exactly do they want me to do here?"

That's a completely different problem.

And once I saw it, I couldn't unsee it.

That's why I created this guide.

Not to teach every formula in Excel

But to help you start recognising the clues hidden inside common Excel interview questions.

I hope it helps you too.

Ryan.
